can't speak to the alarm issues, but the other problems sound like symptoms of a bad wifi connection (low strength and/or interference from nearby wifi networks). What WIFI strength does the Radio report? Also, you might use one of the various free wifi sniffers to see what other networks are visible to you (and what channels they are using). Use a channel far away from the nearby WIFI networks. With a good wifi connection and no interference radio streaming should be rock solid. p.s. just because laptop in same room has "good" internet doesn't mean radio does (not as good an antenna, and hiccups aren't noticble on surfing the web but are when streaming audio). Also, if you are using SbS on laptop (wifi) and the radio is wifi, you have two wireless hops.
