It only goes to fallback alarm, if it realizes a (even very short) network error or if the radio stream disconnects. Did you try already another stream, just to see if it gets more reliable? Apart from that, one can activate Remote access to the Radio in the Advanced Settings, then with a program like WinSCP connect to the radio and download the file '/var/log/messages'.
