There is definitely room for improvements, the question is just if
Logitech is going to prioritize it. Based on my experience they tend to
prioritize bugs and things that are big enough to attract new customers,
smaller improvements on existing functionality usually gets lower
priority.

On Android, the most commonly used third party apps are:
- SqueezeCommander if you like a remote
- SqueezePlayer if you want the Android devices to be able to playback
music in same way as any other Squeezebox.

SqueezePlayer provides unique functionality which isn't and never will
be included in the official Logitech app.

Typically I think users combined both apps and use SqueezeCommander as
remote and SqueezePlayer for playback, I don't think SqueezePlayer
includes any user interface, it's just a background app that play
music.

I have no personal experience from SqueezeCommander so it's probably
better that someone that's using it answer you on that one. Generally I
suspect it's faster than the Logitech app.
