Ive been in discussions with a few colleagues in the law industry following over 18 months now of frustration and anger at these Logitech SqueezeBox systems. I have 2 radio editions and a Duet with Controller. For the first 12 months the alarm was useless, either didnt come on at all, or never picked the favourite I had chosen.
It randomly reports loss of wi-fi connection, even though my i-Peng on my phone can control it and actually starts music playing, which the Radio itself refuses to do. It attempts to connect to my Local server when its off, even when I havent connected for months, and refuses to connect back to SqueezeBox Server until I have powered up my local server and then changed back to SqueezeBox itself. Since hard wiring the network and the update that was released a few months back, all was getting better. The alarm worked, the connection was stable and I finally thought that all the issues had been resolved. Now this latest software version is a complete joke! No longer will the alarm work again - never finds the favourite, they switch on randomly throughout the day, always loses connection even though again i-Peng can initiate playback, randomly stops playing tracks, is very slow and generally is back to being a nice book end. When music does actually play - it then switches off! And as for syncing them together so they play throughout the house, no chance. At least 2 seconds out between each unit. Having at the weekend demonstrated the product to some industry experts and compared the sales spec that Logitech suggest they can do, is utter rubbish and we could all quite easily demand full refunds. I have now begun such a claim. When they actually work the sound quality is amazing. -- RichV12 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ RichV12's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48824 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89445
