18 months seriously after 2 weeks i would just trash it (or get my money back) move on with life get something else and forget that episode .
What do we call this behavior "justice obsession syndrome" or "Stockholm syndrome by product" ;) This system have kinks and bugs, move with them the "it should work because i payed money attitude" only works in short time perceptive , keeping it up for 18 months sounds very painfull. Very quickly after purchase you notice if it works for you, or "it could work if i do some changes to my system" right then it's time to decide. If you cant make it work, get your money back, try sonos or something else. It's a market filled with all kind of solutions from all kinds of brands hifi specialist to generic cheap upnp stuff .
