Again, that's simply not true. I've had a choice of Internet Radios and
none of them worked with alternative providers. With one I had to go
through a lot of hoops when the manufacturer changed the provider.

Reciva based devices are tied to the service by the chipset. You can't
even change that through software, which, btw, is a very real
opportunity for at least the new Squeezebox models.
