There is just one difference here. On the items you mention, the successor was technologically more advanced. So for the customer who had invested in VHS, it was clear why he should buy into DVD too. Even though the new system couldn't record at first, the advantages to be had there where big enough for him to make the crossover. Same goes for LP's, many people replaced with cassettes, because they could easily record their own music through that. Even though a proper LP sounds much better than a cassette. But once the CD came along, everybody had a cd-player very soon, even though it couldn't record anymore, but it just sounded sooo much better. The only thing we can hope from this analogy is that setting up the system gets so much simpler that even a complete noob can do it. But given the things we've seen so far on UE, I very much doubt that. And for those who already have a LMS-system, there is absolutely no advantage in going the UE-route. Or they should come up with a device that is much better than the current Touch... But why haven't they done so in the first place? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ hvb83's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=39615 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96188 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
