Thanks for the clarification Michael. I presume then that if there was enough demand then Logitech could implement the random play facility by enhancing the playback options via uesr.com later on?
There are technical implications here. Eg. Random Play needs to know all of your collection to build the mixes - but you wouldn't want to upload all your library information to uesr.com (and we wouldn't want to manage it :-)).
But then I could imagine an extension to UEML (3rd party or not!) to get some Random Play like feature by eg. providing a static long playlist instead of a dynamically always updated list. Start it once a day to get you going with some random 100 tracks or similar. More smarts could be involved as well, as long as the result sent to the controller (uesr.com) was a static list.
Looking at the official forums I note that the Live music archive app that has been broken for several months on MySB.com has been fixed for uesr.com but remains broken on MySB.com. Apparently the fix is simply the removal of "www" in a URL.
There's more than this. But I've raised the issue of backporting fixes. You'll understand that right now everybody is just watching UE space, because it's getting a lot of exposure right now. But I do see some light at the horizon for SB users.
