This must be complete BS it's an API , UESR.com or mysqueezebox.com request information . It's most likely up to Logitech to " translate " from the player or other UI to LMA and get the stuff . You have seen the workaround we use rigth now , I do Gary and many vortexbox users do it , hack the plugin file so that I uses uesr.com . This has the disadvantage that it does not work on the old players UI but only in LMS web UI or SqueezePlay devices UI like controller Touch or Radio ,but it still plays music on older players .
