It does work with a local music server. However, the UE radio gets unhappy when the internet connection is down. I'm not sure if this is by design or a bug. I just tried it. Pulled plug on internet but kept local network up. Turned UE radio off and then on. Home screen shows only My Music and Settings. Go to My Music. I can see the local server and select tracks, but they don't play. Eventually I get a screen that says Current Playlist Nothing. Restore internet connection and it all works again.
