Yes, but only because the dealership can make money supporting/maintaining the car. Try bringing your car to a dealership (without a warranty issue covered by the mfr) and tell them you want it fixed but you won't pay them. ;) Even for warranty issues the dealership is still paid by the mfr at a reduced but profitable rate. The mfr is done supporting the car as soon as the warranty runs out, barring safety related items. In two years all of the SqueezeBox players will be past their warranty periods with no more sales of players to pay for continued SqueezeBox support (LMS and MySB.com). Logitech does not even offer repairs of the past and current players, only entire player replacement and only for warranty items.
