Thanks for your reply. I am new to this as I mostly play my music on a Touch with EDO. So for transcoding to happen, SOX must be separately installed, i.e. it is not part of LMS? I did a keyword search on the squeezeplug thread and there was a comment that the plug computers' cpu has no floating point and transcoding can not be done in real time, so no point in installing SOX in any case?
