>From what I understand, lots of radios are returned for one reason or another - buyer didn't like the way it looked, it was too complicated, setup didn't go so well. Often these are just user-related problems, not hardware problems, but when they're returned they're tested and software restored to factory software. I think that can either be done by the manufacturer or a manufacturer's authorized service center. These are all called manufacturer refurbished.
I wouldn't hesitate to take a chance, as long as you carefully check the seller's return policy (including return shipping charge policy), restocking fees, or any other return-related fees. Or you could do what I did - buy a UE Smart Radio brand new from Crutchfield for $99 (free shipping), and convert the software to Squeezebox software - it's a Logitech menu item now. Simple conversion, and radio works flawlessly. Best of all it's brand new. Amazon also has that $99 deal going too. But whatever you do, have fun with it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ diannabill's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=38082 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=99951 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
