I've had half a dozen Squeezeboxes, including a pair of Radios, connected just fine to a server running 7.6.1 for a couple of years now (and earlier versions before that). I've recently had to rebuild the server and so have tried to move them to LMS 7.8, but the results have been painful. My biggest problem is trying to get a Receiver to connect to the server - but that's a question for another thread - but I'm also having problems with presets on one of the Radios.
On the Radio in question, the presets store specific music tracks on the server, rather than streaming radio stations (they're ambient/natural sound tracks to help my partner get to sleep). The presets are stored just fine - I can see them in the server prefs and the correct track titles appear when I press the button, but unfortunately the track itself almost never plays. I either see a blank playing screen, with the correct title and a progress bar at the bottom, but with no cover art and nothing actually playing, or I get a message saying that the current playlist is empty. When I get the empty playlist message, the only thing that appears in the server log is: > [14-03-20 22:04:26.1148] Slim::Utils::Scanner::scanDirectory (318) Found > 1 files in /MUSIC/FLAC/Various Artists/Relax With Nature - Mountain > Stream/01 Mountain Stream.flac When I get the blank playing screen, the log is little more verbose: > [14-03-20 22:08:19.7247] Slim::Utils::Scanner::scanDirectory (318) Found > 1 files in /MUSIC/FLAC/Various Artists/Relax with Nature - moreover they've been stored in presets on earlier versions of the squeezeboxserver and radio software(s). Also I appear to be able to store radio stations in the presets and recall them without a problem, so it looks like it only affects presets pointing at stored tracks.
