Hi,
I have been working on this off and on for about a day now but I am
unable to find a fix.
I have a couple of SB radios running on my network without any issues
but one is giving me a real hard time.
- The SB radio is mostly unable to connect to the LMS but it connects
fine to MySqueezebox
- The device is connected wirelessly as are all the other boxes. When
I try to ping it with my laptop while the laptop is connected by wire.
The ping works fine. If I connect my laptop wirelessly, only one ping
gets answered all succeeding pings fail.
- When I connect the SB radio to a switch it starts to communicate to
LMS without a hitch.
- Sometimes e.g. after a router restart, the device worked for while
but stopped a few minutes or hours later.
If I had only that one SB, I would say the issue is with my router but
all the other devices work fine.
My Troubleshooting steps so far
- Reinstalled the SB radio firmware
- Reset the SB radio to factory
- Restarted the wireless router
- cleared arp cache on server pc
- cleared arp cache on test laptop
- cleared DNS resolver cache on server pc
- cleared DNS resolver cache on test laptop
- Connected via SSH but found no way to do anything sensible
- Possibly did a few more things which I have forgotten by now
- Deleted all traces of the device on router who is also doing DHCP
and local DNS
All my players look have firmware: 7.7.3-r16676. The signal strength is
never below 70% for any of the devices.
