The other user may not even be using a physical squeezebox device!  
There are software versions of squeezebox which use mac addresses - I
guess that's why your original device mac address is being 'spoofed' by
someone else unintentionally.   

A solution?  Guess you'll have to turn to customer support to sort this
out - unless a Logi person here can help you directly.
