Ah, ok, I tend to forget about iTunes on Windows. AirPlay is not strictly licensable, you need to use dedicated encryption hardware for it which is not included in the SBs. Some WiFi chipsets have it included. You no longer need to use these but if you don't then you need to use the encryption chip instead.
