Hi, I've got an odd one, just acquired a second user UE Smart Radio, first thing I noticed when I powered it up - no power on chime, also no sounds as I navigated through the menus.
Anyway, factory reset it then "down(up)graded" to Squeeze Box Radio mode and still no startup chime or once hooked up to my server, output from the unit's main speaker. I checked the obvious, volume level and mute plus went a bit deeper and checked the audio status in the menus and neither Line In or Headphones were detected, the test tone doesn't play either... Well it does but just not out of the speaker... Tried some headphones and I get all sounds as expected on those and here's the really odd bit when playing a track and unplugging the headphones the main speaker plays for about a second then... nothing. I'm thinking hardware failure, although though that little burst of sound when unplugging the headphone jack does make me wonder. I'm waiting to hear back from the seller, he did have others for sale so I'm hoping he'll just offer a replacement, this one's going back anyway, replacement or refund but I'd be interested if anyone has any ideas on troubleshooting this further?
