As you'll need a computer to run LMS, I think you're using mysqueezebox.com. It could be that your network connection is good enough to fulfill the test but to slow for an immediate reaction. How is your Radio connected to the network, WLAN, LAN or Powerline? Did you try a factory reset of your Radio?
