Although I believe the usage case for packing up ones internet radio for
travel is extremely rare...... I have done so successfully a number of
times.  
I've also seen over the years a number of SB users post about regularly
bringing their SB players to their vacation/holiday/weekend homes.

Any private network with a simple encryption pass phrase works fine
(basically every home network).  The public networks requiring a browser
(hotels etc..) won't work because SB players have no browser..

Even then, public networks requiring a browser interface will work if
you use your laptop and tether/network-share your SB player to the
laptop.  Something I'd never both with myself, but entirely doable.  ;)
