For London Music radio - I tjhink you are correct. Many station are moving to https and discontinuing their http service. If the http URL (with default port 80) is used - they are automatically redirected to the https service. This causes problem with devices which do not support https. A few station seem to be trying to provide a mechanism to maintain a http service (for legacy devices which do not support https) and avoid the redirection to https by having a non standard port - in this case London Music radio is using port 8000. It is not a generic solution. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=114139 _______________________________________________ Radio mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/radio
