hlfan created an issue (openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website#6779)
The colour is debatable (I like the branded version), but the lack of heading
information is something mildly annoying. The animation should perhaps also
listen to the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
Given the activity in https://github.com/maplibre/maplibre-gl-js/issues/3086, I
think another solution is required for the time being.
