That is actually the page I was looking at but I think I understand now, and
we've been talking at cross purposes...
It was actually the `Notifier` classes that I was referring to as the extra
layer that I couldn't see any mention of in the guide but I think that's not
actually part of the mailer change but rather part of how `noticed` works?
