Hi Dave I use an MBA as my dev machine and am pretty happy with it. I'll often run multiple rails apps concurrently and it's almost always zippy. Here are some pros and cons
- The HDD is a bit small (I store my music and photos on an eternal disc) - It gets very hot when playing videos - It does lag from on occasion (sometimes when I open safari, when I'm playing a video, or if firebug is running). + It's beautiful + Good battery life + Super easy to carry around That all being said, if I could do it again I would prob get the cheaper, more powerful macbook. If they were comparable price I'd stick with the air.
