+1 Nginx has a lower memory profile if you are on a VPS with tight ram. But in the end, go with what you know. You don't want to be learning how to do stuff when things aren't working. If you don't have a preference, then it is really a flip of the coin. Apache has been around longer and you can find documentation for almost anything you can imagine.
