Hi folks, I've recently inherited a clients rails-based shopping cart app. It's running well but has a particular weakness in analysis and reporting for staff. Sales are climbing and they can't easily tell why.
There's been some discussion about switching from a fully custom app to either a hosted solution (shopify, amazon webstore, etc) or a skinned rails e-commerce package (like spree). I've checked out shopify and webstore and have a reasonable understanding of their capabilities. Spree is more of an unknown. Has anyone used it? How did you find it? The project has some particular aspects to it that make it different to a standard shopping cart, would spree be a good foundation to build some customisations on? Alternatively, are there competitors to spree I should investigate? cheers -- James Healy <[email protected]> Wed, 28 Jul 2010 08:37:54 +1000 -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby or Rails Oceania" group.
