My company needs someone to do some contract work on a rails application. A good grasp on algorithms would be really useful.
We have an in house rails application that needs some extension and optimization. It's does some heavy lifting by calculating all the significant paths through a navigation graph. At the moment this generation of the navigation graph can take 15 minutes, so optimization may even require rewriting the calculation engine in something faster than ruby. We're open to suggestions. Anyone got any bandwidth? This work is becoming urgent. I reckon there is at least a months work here.
