If you intend to be running your own server, welcome to a whole new level of holy-shit-what-is-all-this-stuff-I-need-to-configure-and-why-is-my-site-down.
I recommend getting a VPS rather than having your own physical box. If you don't care about location - Linode is good. Or stick to Heroku and you'll never have to care about all this server stuff (it will take up a very very very large portion of your time and cause never-ending stress). - Ben On Wednesday, 1 August 2012 at 12:19 PM, Wei Feng wrote: > > Access to the Linux server will be over ADSL, but all of the users are in > > Australia. > > > ADSL is bad for uploading, so it may not suitable to serve as server > data link, even all your customers are in Australia. > > -- > Regards, > Wei Feng > > 03 9005 3441 | M 0413 658 250 | [email protected] | http://wei.feng.id.au > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups > "Ruby or Rails Oceania" group. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected] > (mailto:[email protected]). > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to > [email protected] > (mailto:[email protected]). > For more options, visit this group at > http://groups.google.com/group/rails-oceania?hl=en. > > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby or Rails Oceania" group.
