Also depends on what editor you like to use. If you are planning on using something like RubyMine you will suffer with 4GB of RAM. For Sublime, VIM, etc you will be fine.

Hi everyone

I'm planning to switch my development machine from Windows to Macintosh. Is a MacBook Air (with 4GB memory) sufficient for Rails development? The tech specs are better than my current Windows laptop, which works fine for me, but I've never developed on a Mac so I'm not sure if should be spending the extra on MacBook Pro. Any advice is appreciated.
