OPJAM is a small music tech start-up looking for an experienced Ruby/Rails
developer. Lots of
challenges, good people and interesting work. We haven't quite launched yet
and are looking for
someone to push us to launch before getting right in to all the features on
our road-map.
The position is full time, however we are happy to engage on contract terms
(happy to negotiate)
*Required qualifications*:
Ruby on Rails professional development experience
Working in a small team environment
Experience with Javascript/Coffeescript/Backbone.JS and JQuery
Experience with Postgres and/or MySQL (or other SQL databases)
Experience with Git and an account on Github
Experience with TDD (we use RSpec and Cucumber)
*Desired qualifications:*
Working with Start-Ups
Proficiency with PostgreSQL
Proficiency with HTML5/CSS3
Working knowledge of Sunspot/Solr
Experience with HAML + SASS
*What you'll be doing:*
*- Working on a music based Start-UP*
- Working on Front, Back or both ends of the development process
- Lots of trouble shooting in a creative environment
- Coding and developing in an open free thinking environment
