Hey all,
Long time no see! My team at Heroku is hiring a Platform Support Engineer to help cover the APAC region. About my team: We’re a globally distributed team comprised of people of all sorts of different backgrounds. We currently have people in Japan, Germany, the UK, France, and various parts of the US. Everyone on the team is an incredibly talented engineer and are a blast to work with. Here are a few of the interesting challenges we face: - Developing tools to proactively anticipate customer issues and gain visibility into their applications. - Building a new in-house help desk system and migrating off our old system. - Educating customers on all the new tools and products <https://devcenter.heroku.com/changelog> Heroku releases including `heroku pg:diagnose`, Websockets, and using the Platform API. What we are looking for: - A software engineer that really likes talking to customers and has a curiosity for how things break in large production applications. - Ideally, you would be a polyglot and have some knowledge beyond just Ruby, such as Python, Node.js or Java. - Be a well-organized and effective communicator. The position is remote, however you can get a desk in either the SFDC Sydney or Melbourne offices is you wish.
