I’m posting this here because we’re looking for someone special.  Someone who 
knows about web technology, the infrastructure technology around it and can 
really see how building custom software solutions and getting them maintained 
can really help organisations leverage their bottom line.

I know this list has mainly developers in it, but you might know someone who 
would fit this job, OR you might want to move into this side of the software 
game.  Our Business Development Manager needs to know their stuff.

We are a growing, dynamic and distributed Ruby on Rails focused development and 
support company.  We are doing some really interesting things, aside from our 
big development team, we’ve also launched our Sentinel OaaS 
<https://reinteractive.net/service/sentinel> offering and getting some really 
great traction on it with some awesome clients coming on.  We’re also building 
some other things that will be released over the next while to help junior web 
developers get a leg up into professional work.

You might also know us from starting and running the InstallFest and 
Development hub for the last year and a bit helping more than 1000 people get 
introduced to Ruby on Rails.  Several professional Rails developers started 
with one of our free InstallFests.

We are looking for someone who wants to meet people and help them with their 
problems.  At reinteractive we believe in selling the right thing to the 
customer, and sometimes this means not buying from us.  I'm not interested in 
selling our customers things they don't need or are not suited to them.  In 
fact, over the past 4 years, we've helped many prospects find what they need 
with other companies in other industries.  It's all about helping the customer 
and exchanging real value.

Our team works from home, distributed across Australia, and you'll work from 
home as well. You do need to live in Sydney because that's where most of our 
clients are, but you'll travel around Australia and other locations attending 
our community events as the market needs, meeting people and closing deals.

You’ll be given training in sales as well as in the technology we provide.

You do need to be able to show real products in an allied industry, either web 
development, cloud hosting, support services or the like.  I'm after passion 
and a willingness to learn.  Excellent written and spoken English is also a 
must.

You'll start at the Business Development role and how high you go or how big 
you grow your area is up to you.  Really.
