I'm a fairly new Rails developer. I've been building an application on Nitrous.IO.
I've now gotten the application to the stage where I need to deploy it. All the tutorials and guides I've read and watched suggest Heroku. It's obviously very popular. As I have an entirely Australian customer base (unlikely to change as it's a niche product suited to the local market), I'd rather have my site hosted in Australia for improved latency. Are there any similar options to Heroku that would suit a beginner like me that are hosted in Australia? I'm using AWS for storage but I'm really not confident enough to set up my own server and take care of administration, backups etc. As it's a niche product, it's resource requirements are not large. It's unlikely to have more than 200 users in total with 20 or so online at any given time. I'd really appreciate it anyone could offer me some direction on this.
