More input from the US West Coast, land of tall trees to ponder..
First the 5 logs of the FCF represent the goals and mission
of the group.. none of those are "evangelical" outreach to the
lost or to anyother group other than Royal Rangers.
The last stanza of the FCF pledge has us promise to uphold
the "princeipals" of Royal Rangers..
This may raise the hair on the back of your neck, but we need
to stick to the program as it is.. So relax, change is comming
and enjoy the ride<G>
FCF was never intended to replace any other ministry.
The fact is that it can not exist without Royal Rangers, as it is
secondary to RR's mission. I happen to like that ideal, as it's
far too easy to ignore the hard parts of Leadership and overgraze
on what suites our fancy.
Some seem to think it's some sort of "Historical re-enactment group"
and even it's Leadership get's thrown off course by the endless plunder
and foo-faw-raw that the fellership spawns.. all well intentioned,
but burdensome in many respects.
In Truth.. like a visit to a National park, *You need to come, participate
fully and leave only footprints! The thing you give is a open hand
and a kind heart to your fellow FCF brother or *Sister..
..and by so do'n that you- *Share the warmth and glow of the Campfire
