More thoughts following that rough-out attempt at *something<G>
A parent is in the driver seat with choices about what their child
becomes involved in or what they do with their time. Even when no
choice is made, Time will deliver a result of their "investment"
in a child.
That being the case... It would be nice, if a parent could turn
a raw Buckaroo greenhorn into someone who is: Alert,Clean,Honest
Courageious, Loyal,Obedient and Spiritual... By mearly signing
up for 48 payments on a "contract"<G>

4 years of "attending" Royal Rangers isn't worth the investment.
Something other than comming at 7 pm wed. night has to happen to
create "Value"... *So what's the best way to increase the net
worth of a boy?

Mayby we increase the total value by comming to "care" about the parts
that will make up the final "classic" product.. Perhaps it just
takes becomeing a friend or buddy... mayby it's being an accountibility
figure.
Mayby it comes from allways smileing and calling the boy by name<G>

Here, I was trying to say that when you come to know a boy you want
the best to happen for him. Your desires in that goal, fire his passion
to excell and mayby push harder, try'n something again that on his
own he might have let slide.

Mayby it takes all the spare time we have to see that the
end result of all this is to encrease the Values and worth
of the lives we touch, and gain from the efforts ourselves<G>

Mayby.. when we work to increace the MORALE and encourage
achievement, we gain in wisdom, character our selves...

I'm saying here to lay out a safe playing field.
make it level, and take out the potholes, then let 'em
play the game hard..

Follow-up-
*To survive as a Royal Ranger leader.. you need to find
a way to have "Fun" yourself. Go easy on the "burden"
and long on "Adventure".

OK...
*What the Wilderness member means to say<G> is...
Remember all them Car payments?
*The final value, of a Real Royal Ranger is worth your modest
investment in HIS adventure. Don't think 'ole Commander
is the expert, or the best qualifyed to deliver the goods!
You are going to gain on a better Son.. so pay up!
*Nothing worth anything comes free!
