I just got back from Hawai'i a little while ago. I was there for my great uncle's funeral last week. I was fortunate to be able to be on one of the few flights that was permitted to fly out and land in San Francisco. The Island of O'ahu has many military installments in such a small area, so most of the island was shut down on Tuesday(Haunama Bay, Pearl Harbor). The airport was like a ghost town with a high presence of fully armed military. I have flown to Honolulu many times and it is a very busy airport. It was an eiry(sp?) feeling to see it so empty. I am glad the military was there for our protection, but that was also very weird to see. We did have to go through several more checkpoints than normal, but it wasn't too bad since there were not many flights leaving. I will be at Promise Keepers tonight. So pray that God will move as we join together across denominations to stand united in Jesus Christ to pray for the families and the rescue teams, for our leaders, and for our nation. Let us pray that God will bring comfort and peace to the families of the victims. Let us also pray peace and sensibility that we will not backlash to those muslims in our nation that are truly inocent to these matters at hand. Let us instead pray for their souls. God Bless.
