As far as angels being of a given sex, I'm not sure about that. The Bible has this to say on the subject, though. In three of the Gospels, Matther, Mark, and Luke there is the reference to the seven brothers who all married a woman in succession. After the first brother dies, the next brother married the woman, until each man had died, and only the woman was left. The question was then asked of Jesus "Whose wife will she be in heaven?". Jesus' reply was that they did not know the power of God. And that at the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. (Mtt 22:24-30, Mrk 12:19-25, Lk 20:28-36). Later in Hebrews (Heb 1:14) we read "Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?". (NIV) All of this does not imply that angels are either (or neither) male or female. However, I think it is interesting how we tend to view the things of God in terms that we can understand (and many times bring God down to our level). The Bible teaches that God created us a little lower than angels. I think this may also imply that God gave us the sexes for the specific purpose of reporduction (be fruitful and multiply), and may have made the angels higher in this respect. They may be neither male nor female, but something MUCH higher than that. As far as your point about nature, I love being in nature and really enjoy the changes that this time of the year bring. That's why a reading of parts of Revelation are unsettling. I am hoping (or at least wishing) that we will be able to enjoy the creation of God much more in Heaven than we are currently able (but then again, there I go, putting Heaven in terms that I can understand. God, I am sure, has something much more glorious that the nature we see day by day in store for us).
