The best way to get the conversation on RangerNet focused on Royal Ranger topics that interest you is to post something on such topics. Ask questions, offer answers, post good news, offer encouragement, share good games, recipes, craft & project ideas, pointers to good resources, etc. Good devotions are part of a good Royal Ranger outpost, but certainly not all of it.
I'm sorry if I have overwhelmed anyone with the CFaith.com articles. Because it is a paid access service, just posting a pointer to the articles of interest isn't always effective, but they let subscribers send articles to friends. Anyway, http://CFaith.com is a good place to bookmark, even if you don't subscribe, because the missions "channel" is free, changes daily, and is really good most of the time. I'm not sure if you can sign up for their separate email list without subscribing or not, but they send out a good devotion once a day on that. (You might try their 14-day free trial and sign up then, and if you cancel after that, they might forget to unsubscribe you...).
Then again, if you get too much mail on RangerNet, you can have your email program sort it to a separate folder, and just read the mail with subjects that interest you. (This works best if people keep the subject somewhat reflective of the contents.) By the way, if you have an important message for me, and you reply to a message on RangerNet or another one of our mailing lists, you get a faster response (and maybe a response at all) if you edit out the [RR] or other list indicator in the subject line.
Some of the canned articles are really good, but the posts to RangerNet that are the most golden are the posts written by Royal Rangers and Royal Ranger commanders from the heart.
By the way, that float sounds fun!

I do want to thank all of you who are posting these great devotions. I know your intentions are wonderful and you want to share these devotions with the Rangernet group. Have you considered just posting the site or net that you are receiving these from. My mailbox today was filled with can postings from everything from devotions to get rich schemes.
The content of Rangernet in the past few months has changed from Leaders talking about Royal Rangers and things that are related to Royal Rangers to anything from a chat board to can messages.
I know this is a campfire setting and we can often get off on a lot of chit chat. The campfire is going dim and it needs some stoking.
A little stokin!
Outpost 153 is off to a 3 day backpack in Herculies Glades National Park. Should be about 15 going. I have a co-worker who is agnostic that is going with us. Pray for him and us. Weather looks great! I need a break and I know a God who can!!!
Next week we put together a Christmas Parade Float. Superman in a Royal Ranger Uniform will be flying back and forth the float waving to folks on a zipline.... The straight arrows and buckaroos will be holding cubes that have 6 messages on them. Commander will yell red and the boys will find the side with red and display it to show a message.
ROYAL RANGERS 13 red
OAK GROVE AOG 13 blue
OUTPOST 153 11 white
JESUS LOVES YOU 15 green
GOD BLESS YOU 14 orange
MERRY CHRISTMAS 15 yellow
Rappeller will be on the back of the 8 x 24' float waving to the crowd.
Rangers in uniforms with props will be walking on bothsides along the sidewalks giving out flyers and candy!!!
Float will have camping sceen on it with superman flying above it all....
Music and cannon will be there as well!!!
God bless you all.

Thanks Mark, I appreciate your help. Royal Rangers from my section stayed at the Gym at Calvary Temple before departing for the last 2 Camporamas. I want to make similar arrangements for next year. As a student at SMS, I attended Calvary Temple when Jack West was pastor. So I feel a little at home at Calvary Temple.
