I was wondering, what is the significance of the yarmulke and the turban?

Dear Brother Eager Beaver,
Good Question.  We don't have to concern ourselves with coverings on our heads because Christ already has us covered. Just think, if He didn't We would all be wearing those things to church. Satan sold those people a lie and they fell for it.
I don't know, It think today's kids would try to set a turban on fire or something. I know that the people who follow the Sikh religion, they are not supposed to take the thing off let alone cut or wash their hair (uh, yuck) But as a Christian, we must lead by example and be at least respectful nonetheless, even though we don't agree with wha they do. I'm thankful that Christ doesn't make us wear something like that, that we can't take off and clean. We are already clean because Christ bought us with the price of His life.  More often than not the best course of action is to pray about those people.  We should pray for understanding. Most people have reserved feelings about Arabs, and (Real) Indian Indians other middle easterners who follow Islam, Sikhs, Buddhism, Hinduism or something like that from that section of the world because they don't understand them and more often than not haven't tried to understand them so they get stereotyped and close their minds on them.
If we don't like what's going on, the best thing we can do even if it is the only thing we can do is pray for them because in knowing that God has it under His control, we have to take heart in knowing that if it causes us to take notice of a situation, God could be using you to be a tool that will put  into being that which will bring about an eventual change in that situation.  As for things like Osama bin Laden, not our will but God's be done. God will get him and told us He would.

Just my thoughts on the matter,

Be Blessed because YOU are blessed!

Iron Mike
