Hey All, Yes this is a hoax. It was designed to prey upon the caring and compassion of the Christian heart and make us Christians look stupid in front of the FCC. A fellow Ranger Commander of ours works for the FCC and told me that even though this hoax is as old as the Internet itself, the joke is still causing some of our Brothers and Sisters to fall victim to it and the FCC has a special department that handles shams like these. This one about Madelyn Murray O'Haire has died down a bit now that for the most part because those of us who know about this "farce" have educated those of us who really didn't have a clue. Madelyn was a well known atheist, but she has been deceased for a long time now. Somewhat recently, Madelyn's son Michael, (who lives up the street from me in beautiful Spotsylvania, VA) was in the news when word was received that his mother's remains were found in Texas after Madelyn and her daughter had mysteriously disappeared so many years ago. Michael O'Haire, much to what would have been to his mother's dismay, is a fellow Christian and knows all about this Internet hoax. Our Fellow Ranger Commander who works for the FCC said in regard to this, that is that "We should Look before we leap."but presently the FCC has this on a type of "Spam " list and is not going to take any action with it.
