[RR] National Royal Rangers - New Program Update

A bombshell was dropped on us last Saturday at our District's Staff Meeting.  Seems as if GPH will not be able to publish the amount of materials that National is giving them to do, in the original time frame.  As I understand, they expected it to be about the same amount of pages as the Missionete re-write.  We are about double that amount.   According to the information we were given Saturday, this is how it is supposed to happen.......................   March 2002 - Ranger Basics & Transition Modules will come out.     August 2002 - Ranger Kids program & materials will be available from GPH.   March 2003 - Discovery & Adventure Rangers program & materials will be available from GPH.   August 2003 - Expedition Rangers program & materials will be available from GPH.   National is recommending that the "Straight Arrows & Buckaroos enter Ranger Kids in September 2002, even though the eight year olds will later be in the Discovery age group.  This will allow them to work on a new and  exiting advancement system in Ranger Kids.  They will also have the option of staying in Buckaroos under the transition plan and beginning Discovery Rangers in March 2003."     Jim Hufferd Sectional Commander North San Joaquin Section So California.
