Do they show up in uniform for every meeting?
This seems to be a point of contention and embarrassment with the older boys
in Rangers. We lose them to the Youth program as TrailRangers-Challengers.
Or is the girls?

Y'all
Next weekend is my Sectional ROTY. We have 2 Trailblazers going to this, the main candidate and the runner up. Neither one had any sort of a real uniform. they would wear it, but to be frank, they look like slobs. They are not, however. My main candidate had some sort of a shirt that had epaulets on it and patches that were just sewn on in a hurry with a thread that didn't match. He was missing numbers from 215. My mission today was to go and transfer patches from a uniform that didn't fit him to this raggedy old uniform that still had a sling for a badge on it (like a police officer's) The boy's resources are tight and he can't always get that in which he needs to keep his uniform up. His mother had so much of a difficult time finding a pair of shoes for the 14 year old. What is going to happen is that just prior to his getting ready for the event, I'm going to give him a brand new uniform, never been worn before? No one is suspecting this, it is just going to come as a surprise because everyone feels that since the elimination of the Potomac Park Camp Ranger store, they can't get anything anymore in the short amount of time that they need it. (I'm letting them know that is not the case.) My intention is to boost the boy's confidence levels and get him pumped up. He thinks that the ROTY is the inquisition, but I wanted him to know that his commanders are 100% behind him. I couldn't think of a better way to show that than to do what I have done for him.
This is a new batch of boys the Lord has blessed me with. This new church is the church I have now made home since my move to Fredericksburg over a year ago.
Be Blessed!
