Prior to the flood with which God eradicated the entire human race with the exception of Noah and his family, atmospheric pressure was twice as high as it is now, with much higher levels of oxygen. At this higher pressure, with the elevated oxygen levels in the atmoshere, oxygen assimilated into and through the bloodstream at three times it's current rate. At this rate, open wounds can heal in as fast as 45 minutes. In addition, humans, upon birth, did not lose 50% of thier 200 million brain cells due to lack of oxygen as we do today. Due to these conditions, Noah was able to run 200 miles without getting tired, and capable of performing astronomical mathematical calculations in his mind in split seconds. Adam was able to identify, name, memorize and keep a mental track of the thousands upon thousands of species of plants and animals on earth. At this level of pressure, the atmosphere would have filtered out all harmful UV rays, and would have appeared pink, as it does sometimes at sundown. Plants we now measure in inches would be measured by as many feet, dragon flies had 5 ft. wingspans, and there were giants in the land in that day. This would also lend credibility to a theory I heard last week, which suggested that Job had built the Great Pyramids; which are at the exact center of gravity on the earth, were constructed with mortar joints of 1/50th of an inch ( a feat which we are today incapable of) and the sides of which match exactly the curvature of the planet upon which we live.

Incidentally, being the gourmet coffee connoissuer that I am, (or at least was, having once owned, operated, and failed at my own gourmet coffee house venture) I am not unaware of the fact that the perfect shot of espresso is also brewed at the same amount of pressure at which our present atmosphere once did exist, which is 18 bars, or about 36 pounds. It is with this knowledge in mind that I all the more anxiously await the opportunity to dwell in the New Jerusalem, wherein I shall be able to brew my espresso without the aid of an expensive machine, I presume, seeing as how all things shall be restored to thier once perfect condition, as they were before sin entered into the earth and death reigned.
