In general, when I camp... I keep my gear packed and under a tarp till needed. This way, I can assume.. few bite'n critters have invaded my Bedroll<G> Up here in the far left hand corner of the land of the big freezer..
Doing that keeps you dry- and dry makes sence. If I was to roll out my camp in the desert.. make camp on a red ant nest or set up next to a dead horse.. *I could expect trouble. The fact is, trouble comes to everyone who don't think things through. It ain't the fault of the red ant for stinging you.. *He's an ant, that what he does<G> It ain't the fault of the viper to seek heat.. and lay fangs on yah- they are cold blooded, and that's just what they do as well.. You may *beleve that the viper will not cross your DEAD HORSE HAIR rope, but are yah gonna trust that TALL TALE.. or are you gonna *shake out the Bedroll before yah snooze?
