I just got off the phone with a snake charmer. He was hot on the trail of a viper, a snake-in-the-grass called o2binfcf. His nose was to the ground and his ear was on the train track, looking and listening for any sign. Call it a premonition, a hankerin', or whatever, but I knew I had the call comin'! He had questions, and he wanted answers! Let me tell you, folks, when your lookin' down the barrel of a loaded .410, beads of sweat poppin' on yer forehead, knees knockin', shakin' in yer boots, it's hard not to spill the beans! "You know anything about this o2binfcf, do ye?" He says. I swallowed hard. "Yeppers, shore do!" I allowed. "Well, who is he?" says he. "Well," I says "I ain't a gonna mention no names, but his initials is: CLINT GRANT ! Folks, you shoulda seen him! He looked as if he'd see'd a ghost! There was some spittin' an sputterin' fer a while, then proper introducing commenced. We talked some, agreed on some points, disagreed on some others, and both went our separate ways relatively unscathed. One thing I never got around to sayin', though, was about the similarities between Aesop's fables, the book of proverbs, and the parables of Jesus. Remember the fable about the sour grapes? Compare that one to Proverbs 20:14. Compare the one about the reflection in the water to Matthew 7:3-5. One thing's fer shur, things aren't always what they seem. And sometimes, our vision gets blurred! Whether it be from hot, angry tears, our strong opinion of ourselves, or a beam in our eye! Myself? I plead guilty to all three counts, and throw myself upon the mercy of the court! Get more from the Web. FREE MSN Explorer download : http://explorer.msn.com |
