The Boys Scouts have a 1 1/2 inch 8x11 book of scouting resources full of
games like those. It can be bought for under 15.00. GPH has the
Outpost Activities book that has a bunch of games in it as well.
I, too, am looking for ideas. I'm wanting to
approach my Sr. Commander about doing a BBQ and games day to try and get some
new boys interested in Rangers and some men committed to helping. I
hadn't thought of a name, yet, but "Dreams and Visionaries" is GOOOOOD!
I like that or maybe I'll adapt to some mutation of the name.
What I'd like is some games that split the fathers and
boys to make teams of men and boys working together, not relying on family
ties. I also want to try and have some kind of games where everyone has
a good chance to win, since I have some boys who are NOT athletic at all, but
still get upset when they don't win.
Thanks for any help you can give.
Serving the Master Ranger,
D.J.

Subject: [RR] Need ideas
I am setting up a Dreams & Visionaries Day at our Outpost (Men
& Boys) it will not be a "Father & Son Day" do to the fatherless
boys in our outpost. I know what it feels like to have a stand-in
father.
We are going to have a Barb-B-Q and game. What I am
looking for a game ideas to use on this day. April 6th in the day set
for this event and I will be speaking to both groups about our need for
commanders and mentors.
I could use the help with ideas for this event but most of all I
could use the prayers.
In His Service
Commander
