I think he is pulling our leg to inspire us to think good and hard.
Royal Rangers is 4 red points, 4 gold points and 8 blue points. In our outpost we do have 17 and younger boys leading the rest of the outpost. We all meet in a opening where all report on what they are doing and what is coming up. Each level gets to see what the older group is doing. It works well and I encourage any outpost that is struggling to do the same. The younger boys see what is ahead of them and it inspires them to excel. Mental, Physical, Social, Spiritual all aspects of the Ranger Emblem must be held up and strived after if it is Royal Rangers. Too much focus on Bible Study and Scripture memorization makes it Sunday school. Too much physical ed makes it Sports at school. Too much hanging out makes it Uth. Too much book work makes it school. Take Mental, Physical, Social, Spiritual ways a boy grows, add the Holy Spirit, Healing, Rapture and Salvation, stir in work, play, serve, obey, worship live etc along with alert, clean honest, courageous, Loyal, courteous, obedient, spiritual and you have a Balanced young man working to be the best he can be. It is true we are not Boy Scouts. We are Royal Rangers. We have the best of all worlds. Christ is in the middle and the focus of our scout program. My two hundred dollar bills worth....grin!
