Un-plug yur ears.. *I was "Out there".. You see, I had thought that since 1962 we were tracking behind BSA.. Lots of evolutionary steps pointed that way.. things like expanding the Merits, use of Patrols ect, FCF and more medals and gee-gaws than Gen. Swartzcoff! But recently, it all hit me that THERE IS ZERO INTREST in a boy-led Ranger outpost. Here's why- I agree to what my son told me.. "Dad yur full of Beans" That got me "Thinking." *I dreamed.. in the "spirit" and saw a large glass jar full of beans.. "a voice said.. How many Beans are there?" I felt I had a good guess at the number.. and then added my own spin at "how many should be in there to support a boy led Outpost ect." (Later I discovered, the final count represented the way things *are and will be.. a final accounting without dispute.) *The reason I "feel" better is because, while everything I beleve may have "merit" or may be "worthy".. and be alive and healthy in other orginizations and programs ect. *That does not have anything to do with "Knowing" the exact amout of the bean count. Only GOD knows the number, and he don't change the count. The sooner I "get it" that *I don't know the count.. and that it's Gods privilage to ask but not tell, the sooner I can find peace of mind<G> *Next.. This picture of the jar of beans... the knoledge that at best I was just guessing at the "number" and the FACT that to honestly "KNOW" was simply to COUNT THE BEANS... all merged in a swirl of insight..
