My son slipped a note on my desk with the following: "General Schwarzkopf was asked in a recent interview if there was any room for forgiveness towards people who have harboured and abetted the terrorists who were responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States. His reply was: " I believe that forgiving them is God's function. Our job is to simply arrange the meeting."
