As you might expect, *I'm not in favor of any Christian flag replaceing an AMERICAN FLAG. I have moral resons and practical ones as well. First the practical- RR uniforms are still saddled with obscureity in public places. *I've wore mine, and if you do that enough.. it's likely that you will be asked if you are a Canadaian Scout or Army reserveist. I've been asked if I was a Canadian Forest Ranger.. While this is truly an excellent opportunity to whitness the 4 gold points and the 4 red points and the 8 blue points and share the Ranger Code.. *sometimes I just want to get my Taco on the run. (*There i said it. 35 years of baggage) As I am an American, pay Taxes, a Viet-Vet ect. *I have no problem with wearing an american flag. *I do regret wearing kahki pants.<G> (One reason there is that IMHO the Ranger uniform is overly paramil.) Point #2- The Moral point- has to do with citizenship/Morality. There are those of an extreamist nature that are becomeing anti- government, and pro-Christian elements seem to adorn their ethics. The Right to Life movement has this flavor.. Thus, i am not in favor of the "Christian Soldier" thinking that has us (RR) in any way associate with survivial theology or extreamist views of racisum or domination, or politial action. My firm ground is this- "If you don't love yur neighbor, and reach out to help him in the service.. they you don't LOVE GOD!" Therefore-in abideing respect- "eat the hay and sew on the flag.."
